Rose Kantiono

Rose Kantiono (M.A, BED, OCT) is a teacher in Peel District School Board. Born in Ivory Coast and originally from Burkina Faso, she lived in Germany before coming to Canada. Polyglot, Rose speaks French, German, English, Liele, and Doula.

Rose was twice the recipient of the Teacher Award of Distinction from the Peel Board 2013 and 2020. Passionate for humanitarian work, Rose is a strong advocate for issues about education in Africa, equity, social justice, and teachers’ professional development. She has been dedicating her time to various projects in Canada and overseas. Rose is an active member of the ETFO International Assistance Committee, the Catholic Women League, and the People of Motherland.

Her faith in God being her strength, Rose has joined the advisory board of CSA to make a difference in others’ lives. As Mother Teresa said: “I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.”
